Giving Back, Giving Hope

-When you donate to American Cancer Society, the money goes to cancer research and patient services and programs. The researchers on staff conduct nationwide cancer prevention studies, study behavioral, psychosocial, and lifestyle factors related to cancer survivorship, and produce the most widely cited reports on cancer statistics in the world. The American Cancer Society also offers grants to help other researchers across the country.

-The American Cancer Society funds research for all types of cancer. They allow their researchers to choose the topic for their grants. The number of applications they receive for each type of cancer is reflective of the number of researchers who are currently working in that area.

-American Cancer Society offers a volunteer-run service called Road to Recovery. This provides transportation to and from treatment for people who have cancer and do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves.

-The American Brain Tumor Association supports the research of scientists in discovering about the causes, effects, diagnosis, and treatment of brain tumors.

-A donation to the American Brain Tumor Association helps improve, extend, and ultimately save the lives of people affected by brain tumors. These donations help to increase awareness, support patients and caregivers, and fund research into the cause and treatment for brain tumors.

For the time being I will be donating the proceeds to the American Cancer Society, as well as to the American Brain Tumor Association. We are investing in hope!
